No, and there is no discount attached to ordering on the day. You pay the session fee, you leave with a printed spec sheet listing everything we found, and that sheet is yours to take anywhere. Some people order from us. Some order online using our numbers. Some discover their current set is fine and do nothing at all. All three are acceptable outcomes.
It is the opposite. Higher handicap players tend to have the largest gap between what their equipment assumes and what their swing does, so the changes we make are usually more visible. What we will say is that if you are three months into learning the game and your swing changes every week, wait a season. Fitting a motion that has not settled produces clubs you will grow out of.
Because turf interaction is roughly half of what makes an iron or fairway wood work, and a mat cannot report it. A mat lets a wide sole skid rather than dig, which flatters a club that would be wrong for you on dormant Bermuda in February. We fit outside first for the same reason a tailor measures you standing up.
We move indoors and finish the analytical half of the session, then bring you back for the grass portion at no extra cost. Between June and September this happens often enough that we build the schedule around it. Nobody is asked to hit balls in an electrical storm.
Seven to twelve days for a standard set once components are in hand. If a shaft or head is on backorder we tell you the expected date before you pay, and we will not take a deposit on something with no realistic delivery window. Repairs and re-grips are usually next day.
Yes. Adjusting, re-shafting, re-gripping, bending and re-lengthening clubs from other retailers is a large part of what the build room does. We do not charge more because you bought elsewhere.
Yes, though the test head library on the left side is smaller, which is a supply reality rather than a preference. Tell us when you book and we will pull in additional demo heads if we are thin in a category you need.
There is. It takes about twenty-five minutes, runs off a lie board and a few outdoor swings, and costs a fraction of a full session. It is genuinely the right answer for a lot of people who came in expecting to spend far more.
Between eighty and a hundred and forty depending on the category. Driver sessions are shorter because fatigue changes the numbers quickly. Iron sessions run longer. We watch for tiredness and stop when the dispersion starts widening for reasons that have nothing to do with equipment.
Yes, and we keep them cheap. Juniors grow, sets need re-lengthening, and charging adult rates for a set that will be wrong in fourteen months is not something we are willing to do. We also re-cut and re-grip a junior set at cost for anyone who was originally fitted here.
Bring them back within thirty days and we will re-measure everything for free, on the same tee line, with the same fitter. Most of the time the issue is a spec that drifted during the build or a grip size that felt right in the shop and wrong on the course. If we made the error, we fix it at our cost.
No. We are a fitting and build operation. There is no retail floor here, which keeps the overhead low and is part of why the session fee is what it is.
One guest is fine and the bays have a bench for exactly that. We do ask that the guest stay off the tee line while you are hitting, because it is a working surface and it is not large.
We do, for any session type, and they do not expire. They are also transferable, so if the intended recipient turns out not to want one, it can be handed to someone who does.
